On September 10-12.2010, the head of clinic TALIZI, Akaki Tsilosani, was invited on Indian hair restoration surgery societies congress – Haircon 2010 as a faculty and chairperson.
India is a homeland of plastic surgery. First plastic operation – rhinoplastic, was exactly done there 2600 ago. Today, many years after Indian doctors are trying to regain leading positions in every field of plastic surgery, including hair transplantation. They actively participate in symposiums held by International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and Asian Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. They are often passing training programmes in leading clinics of America and Europe, amongst which is TALIZI. Majority of doctors, who are visiting TALIZI for trainees are Indian specialists. Our clinic’s head physician, Dr. Akaki Tsilosani was invited on HAIRCON 2010 by the president of Indian Society of Hair Restoration Surgery - Sanjiv Vasa. He took his invitation with a great pleasure and participated in that meeting as a faculty guest and a chairperson.
Congress was held in one of the mostly beautiful, mountainous region of India – Mount Abu (Ahmedabad). Nearly 150 delegates from India, Europe and Asia attended this meeting. Except Akaki Tsilosani, there were other invited guests: ex-president of International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) – Bessam Farjo – from Britain, chairman of Asian Hair Restoration Surgery Society (AAHRS) – Damkerng Pathomvanich – from Thailand, Kenicharo Imagava- from Japan, Tommy Hwang – from Korea and Ahmed Noreldin from Egipt. Haircon 2010 proved to be sufficiently successful. There were many interesting presentations about all actual questions of hair transplantation, sharing experiences between representatives of different hair transplantation schools and emotional discussions , which made this meeting unforgettable. The report by Akaki Tsilosani about Gigasessions and Body Hair Transplantation was especially interesting. It was followed by long discussion and lots of questions by the wide audience.
We sincerely congratulate our Indian colleagues such successful symposium and thanks for warm hospitality. Special gratitude to Dr. Sanjiv Vasa – patriot of his motherland, enthusiast in Hair restoration field, exceedingly wise and noble person and wish him and his country many years of continued success.
